FNB and MTN team up to enhance telecom services
FNB and MTN announced today that they are teaming up to provide better telecommunication and internet services to customers who use FNB Connect, FNB’s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO).
This collaboration will allow customers to benefit from FNB Connect’s innovative services and MTN’s network quality.
The CEO of FNB, Jacques Celliers, said the partnership will bring more value to customers.
“This collaboration is consistent with our efforts to leverage reliable network infrastructure in the market to accelerate our delivery of cost-effective data and voice plans and other ICT services,” he said.
Celliers said FNB plans to expand their services by introducing more affordable and customized solutions for individuals and businesses. This includes Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for businesses to improve efficiency, as well as fiber, 5G, and LTE for faster internet speeds and reliable connectivity for residential and commercial customers.
MTN South Africa CEO, Charles Molapisi, sees this partnership as a way to support MVNOs and institutions that value connectivity and internet services.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for both FNB and MTN, which have been instrumental in innovation in the South African market and is a further endorsement for MTN as the network of networks,” he said.
“By combining our strengths, we are poised to create a truly exceptional network experience for FNB Connect users while also enabling access to a broader range of ICT services, beyond just connectivity, for FNB customers.”
