Dawie de Villiers is the Chief Executive at AlexForbes and has over two decades of experience in the finance and investment sector.

He first joined Sanlam in 1993 and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the CEO of Sanlam Structured Solutions and CEO of Sanlam Employee Benefits.

In November 2018, de Villers left Sanlam and joined AlexForbes as chief executive, where he leads the company’s transformation into an advisory-led business.

In today’s episode of Smart Money, Dawie de Villers unpacks the progress made with AlexForbes’ new strategy and whether it is working as planned.

De Villers then talks about the company’s investment in digital channels and how its ESG investment unit is paying off.
