Peche is a seasoned portfolio manager and value investor with over 25 years of experience in the investment management industry.

His investment philosophy is based on rigorous fundamental analysis, independent thinking, and a long-term perspective.

Peche holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) in Finance and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town.

After graduating, he qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte South Africa before kickstarting his investment career in 1997.

Peche started out as an equity analyst at Old Mutual Asset Managers and later co-founded Decillion Capital. There, he co-managed the successful South African-based hedge fund, BigRock Fund.

In 2001, Peche moved to London to co-manage a United States and European hedge fund for Decillion Fund Management.

Peche then joined Orbis Investment Advisory as an Equity Analyst in 2003, before establishing his own Fund Management company in 2008 – Ranmore Fund Management.

The London-based boutique firm offers the Ranmore Global Equity Fund, and Peche continues to serve as a portfolio manager.
