In this Smart Money with Alishia Seckam interview, PPS Investments CEO Shaun Ruiters explains how the company has taken a unique approach to financial services in South Africa – which has made it an industry leader.

Ruiters was appointed as CEO of PPS Investments in October 2023, returning to the company after serving as its Business Development Executive from 2017 to 2018.

In the five years between his two PPS Investments roles, he served as the CEO of Sanlam Investment’s Multi-Manager business.

Ruiters previously spent 11 years at Sanlam Investments from 2006 to 2017, working in roles including Retail Investment Analyst and Head of Retail Strategy and Client Solutions.

He holds a BCom Honours Degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town.
