Warren Buffett pumps money into oil
In the fourth quarter of 2023, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway bought no new stocks but added to his stake in three companies.
This was revealed in Berkshire’s 13F filing with the SEC, which is required for all investors who manage over $100 million in funds.
While Berkshire did not add any new companies to its portfolio, it sold its stake in four companies – DR Horton, Markel Group, StoneCo and Globe Life.
The firm also reduced its stake in six companies – Apple, Paramount Global, and HP Inc.
This increased the value of Berkshire’s portfolio to $347.36 billion with 41 stocks.

Central to Buffett’s investment philosophy is value investing, wherein he identifies undervalued companies with strong fundamentals, a strategy that has yielded remarkable returns over time.
Beyond his investment acumen, Buffett’s humility and frugality, despite his immense wealth, have garnered widespread admiration.
He resides in the same modest home he purchased decades ago and shuns ostentatious displays of affluence.
