Abrahams is the Executive General Manager of Old Mutual Independent Distribution, and his history with Old Mutual extends back to 1994.

He started out in a foundational role and gained experience in a variety of different positions across quotes and servicing.

Abrahams then worked across multiple senior leadership positions, including customer management, marketing, and distribution.

In 2002, he became the head of operations for Old Mutual South Africa’s Fairburn Capital. Two years later, Abrahams took up the position of National General Manager for Broker Distribution.

He served in several other prominent positions, including COO for Retail Distribution, Executive GM for Retail Affluent, and Executive GM for Broker Distribution.

In his current position as Executive GM of Old Mutual Independent Distribution, Abrahams shapes strategic partnerships with Registered Financial Advisers, Independent Financial Advisers, and Bank Advisers.

He is known for creating performance-driven cultures, simplifying complexity, and unlocking long-term value through collaboration and innovation.

Abrahams also holds qualifications from Harvard Business School, INSEAD in Fontainebleau, and Stellenbosch Business School.
